When you book a photoshoot so many questions come to mind. How many photos will I get? What happens if the photographer gets sick? How will my images be saved? So this little blog will break down just a few questions you may have!
1. How do we book a photoshoot with Finding Light Photography?
To book a photoshoot with me, you can pop me an email on findinglightsa@outlook.com, a WhatsApp or a quick call on 084 459 1662. Occasionally I will run mini specials which can be booked online. The details for these are first sent out to my mailing list, so if you'd like to be the first to book, complete the 'contact me' form > HERE < and you'll be added to my mailing list.
2. Do you travel?
Yup, I do! I shoot all around Gauteng and have a range of stunning locations we can look at. There are travel costs involved but this depends on your photoshoot and locations. Most packages include 30km and I charge R7 per km after that.
3. How many photographs will I receive?
Each package is different. To check out my package details you can click > HERE <. For some selected packages I do edit over the given amount and you will have the opportunity to select your favs which are included in your package and purchase extra photographs if you wish.
4. Do you edit the photographs?
I like to keep things natural, I will only edit out uncontrollable blemishes, bruises and scratches that shouldn't be there. I'm not a plastic surgeon;) Keeping your kiddies nose clean will be your responsibility and will not be edited. I do not supply Unedited or RAW images for any reason, a chef won't serve you an uncooked steak, neither will I ;)
5. How long will it take to get our photographs?
Full Gallery - 20 working days
Rush Fee - R750 (3 working days)
(excluding Weddings)
6. How will we receive our photographs?
I make use of a super easy to use online gallery system. You'll be able to download high resolution photos or share with family and friends.
6. Do you back up our photographs?
Your edited images will be backed up for 12 months(Not the RAWS). Should you lose your images and they need to be uploaded again for download, an extra fee of R450 will apply. After your shoot, your photographs are backed up on 2 separate hard drives just to make sure there are doubles.
7. What if we need to postpone?
I am generally pretty flexible and I do understand that life happens. Kiddies get sick and so do mommies and daddies. I do have T&Cs that will be signed and all those deets are set out there.
8. How do we secure our booking with you?
I require a 50% non refundable booking fee, the remainder of you fee is due 3 days before our session. I do allow for payment plans so don't be scared to ask ;)
9. Do you do printing?
YES!!! I offer a gorgeous range of photobooks, canvases, glass frames and more. For details on what is on offer, you can click > HERE < . Printing is so important, I have a fab blog on why. You can check that out here > HERE < .
10. Do you use props and pose us?
I do not use props and I try to avoid cheesy poses. Yes I will tell you to kiss youR baby and look at your hubby but I do try to keep it as natural as possible.
11. What if there is bad weather?
I'm happy to shoot in all kinds of weather. Sun brings golden light. Wind brings movement. Clouds bring the mood but if we have torrential rain, we will have to re-schedule.

13. Do you help us plan our session?
I do! From outfits to locations. Just pop me a message and we can discuss every element of your shoot.
14. What if the kiddies don't play ball during the session?
Make sure your kids / babies are well rested and fed before your photoshoot. Don't put them in uncomfortable clothes. Bring snacks and water with and if you're relaxed, they will feed off your energy. Finally, let kids be kids - its not always going to be perfect and they might not smile but that's ok, it is how they were on that day and you love them just the same. 14. Where are you based?
My offices are based in Edenvale but South Africa is my studio. All sessions are done at a location of your choice or even at home.
15. Do you offer discounts?
